Scheduling with Sodoto Solutions
We strive to be as transparent about how we run our calendar as possible. We understand through experience that scheduling work between two organizations – especially a class or workshop where part of the success depends on attendence – can be hard. Iteratively sifting and winnowing to the right arrangements is a helpful thing for all of us in this case. Our general policy follows below.
- When providing general availability to clients / partners, because these are only potential dates for business, we may give out the same dates to multiple clients / partners.
- We run our calendar on a first come / first served basis, where a fully executed (signed and countersigned) Statement of Work (SoW) locks dates in.
- In addition to this, as part of the iterative process of going from potential dates to locked in dates, we sometimes will hold dates in reserve at our discretion if the possibility is extremely strong (a verbal agreement, for example), and it’s more a matter of us getting our “ducks in a row.” This is obviously subjective, but things like history with the client / partner, our understanding of their purchasing workflow, etc. will influence this sort of decision. “Holding dates” in this sense means we will not give them out as general availability dates to other clients / partners from that point forward – but note that we may have already given them out to others in the past, in which case the first come / first serve basis is still in play. We will tell you when in the process we’re comfortable holding dates for you, if you request that happen before a signed SoW lock-in. Often times this sort of reservation has an expiry date (when the actual SoW must be complete by), which we will communicate to you.
- We track the potential dates we give out to clients and partners, so if something we gave you as a potential date no longer works, we’ll let you know ASAP.
